What is SIMOC?
SIMOC, created by SIMCC, offers students an exciting blend of math games and puzzle-solving challenges.
It's a one-of-a-kind math competition that not only assesses problem-solving skills but also emphasizes teamwork through interactive games and puzzles.
Compete with top talents worldwide, learn as a team, and vie for individual and team awards at SIMOC.
General Pre-requisites for the competition
Candidate needs to obtain any one of the following awards before qualifying for SIMOC:
SASMO 2025:
• Perfect scorers, Gold/Silver/Bronze award winners, are invited to SIMOC 2025.
• Honorable Mentions must attend training from PGA to qualify for SIMOC 2025.
SMGF 2025:
• Perfect scorers, Gold/Silver award winners are invited to SIMOC 2025.
• Bronze award winners must attend training from PGA to qualify for SIMOC 2025.
AMO 2024:
• Perfect scorers, Gold/Silver/Bronze award winners, are invited to SIMOC 2025.
• Honorable Mentions must attend training from PGA to qualify for SIMOC 2025.

Competition format: Offline - Singapore
Calculators are NOT permitted.

SIMOC Package Fees explained:
There are the following parts of fees:

1. $590 Competition Entry Fee per student, plus
2. $2,780 SIMOC package fee per person.
3. (Optional) SIMOC training

Year 7 and above: $1300
4. (Optional) Tour fee
Adult: $472.50 Net Per Pax
Children 12 years old and below: $372.50 Net Per Pax
5. (Optional) Korowai (Maori cloaks)
during the award ceremony ($350).

Results and Awards
You can check the result of the contests on the website and Member Development Portal (MDP) for the statistical report.

Every participant - Perfect Scorers, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention, and even just a Participation in the Math Olympiad, will receive physical certificates.
Perfect Scorers, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners will receive medals,
while Perfect Scorers, Champions, Runner-Ups, and 2nd Runner-Ups will be will be awarded trophies.
Team winners of Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will receive a medal + certificate.

June Holiday SIMOC Preparation Workshops
What will be covered during these 4 days?
Student will be taught various Important topics which are covered in SIMOC competition.
Each topic is designed to improve student’s pattern-recognition, reasoning and problem-solving skills. Your child will finish the course with an improved understanding on what it takes to solve math olympiad questions.
How will the online lessons be conducted?
Virtual classes will be conducted over Zoom Video application. Notes: will be sent via email 2 days before the lesson. Students must download and print the notes.
Are the 4 Days enough to prepare them for a competition?
Various factors affect student’s performance in any competition. One of the important ones is well-guided preparation.
Twelve hours of intensive training workshop is specially designed to prepare students for a competition and it will increase the student’s chance of getting a higher score in the competition.
Who are the teachers for the classes?
SIMCC experienced instructors have been preparing Singapore students for various math contests. They also have years of experience in conducting math Olympiad training in Singapore and overseas schools.
How big is the class?
To provide our students a conducive learning environment, we limit the physical class size to maximum of 15 students.

1. What is the SIMOC package price? What does the price include?
SIMOC Package price (NZD 2,780.00) for each person for twin/triple sharing room (4D3N). SIMOC Package includes: • Hotel room with daily breakfast • Goodie bag and t-shirt upon arrival in Singapore • Transportation - (student) Hotel to competition venue - (student) Competition venue to hotel - Hotel to Award ceremony venue - Award ceremony venue to hotel • Lunch, mineral water and snack for all students during competition day (parents' meal not included) • Gala Buffet lunch for all guests during award ceremony • NZD 2,780.00 per pax inclusive of 9% GST (Goods & Service Tax) and 10% hotel service charge.
2. Refund policies, cancellation/ no show, and late fees?
No refund is allowed once the registration is submitted as we are unable to request for refund from the hotel, transportation partner and other arrangements. PGA reserves the right to charge full amount of the package for any cancellation. Should there be any no-show for confirmed reservations; a charge for full package will be levied as no-show charge. Any registration received after 1 May 2025, will be charged at a higher rate as the hotels will not offer us the contracted rates any more.
3. Is the travel insurance included?
No. Travel insurance is not included in the package. All the students and guests must purchase travel insurance coverage. PGA is not responsible for, nor will it be held liable for, any injury, damage or loss suffered on account of any conditions, actions or omissions that are beyond its reasonable control during SIMOC.
4. Who is responsible for my safety?
Students and parents should be responsible for their personal safety. PGA's major responsibility is organizing the competition itself, and do not have duty of care to students' or travellers' trip to Singapore. Please refer to PGA TRAVEL and TRIP RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT/LIABILITY WAIVER FORM for more information (available after your registration).
5. Can my child travel alone? What will be the fees?
Underage students must be accompanied by a guardian when traveling to Singapore. In exceptional circumstances where the guardian is unable to accompany the student, they may seek another adult to accompany them to Singapore. However, in cases where the guardian does not accompany the student, in addition to the $3000 examination fee, a management fee of $2780 is required. Moreover, it is necessary to make a note in the "Note" section of the registration form, and sign the Child Travel Consent Form.
