All Term 4 classes conclude TODAY, Sunday 14 December.

 

Our office will remain open until Sunday, 21 December, and will reopen on Monday, 12 January 2026.

Academic Opportunities for 2026

 

Below is an overview of upcoming international academic competitions offered through PGA. These programmes aim to enrich students’ critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and global academic competitiveness.

 

 

AMC8 (Year 5–10) · American Mathematics Competitions

 

AMC8 is one of the most recognised global mathematics competitions, aimed at developing strong mathematical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.

 

Exam Date: 23 January 2026

Format: 25 questions · 40 minutes · multiple choice

Best suited for: Maths enthusiasts up to Year 9

 

NEW Online Exam Option

Time: 4:20pm-5:00pm (to be confirmed)

Venue: Online from home (to be confirmed)

 

 

AMC8 Preparation Courses (Highly Recommended)

 

To support students aiming for excellent performance in AMC8, PGA will continue offering:

AMC8 Intensive Holiday Programme

AMC8 Term Courses(Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced Streams)

Mock Exam + Paper Analysis Workshops

 

These courses help students build solid foundations across the 30 AMC8 knowledge topics, improve problem-solving accuracy, and strengthen test-taking strategies.

A challenging competition testing deep conceptual understanding, analytic reasoning, and real-world chemistry application.

 

• Ideal for students interested in Chemistry, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering

• Recognised by top UK universities including Oxford and Cambridge

• PGA is an official exam centre for NZ

A broad mathematics competition encouraging creative thinking and applied reasoning.

 

• Great preparation for A Level Maths, IB HL, or AMC10/12

Designed for students beginning AS-level Physics or equivalent.

An entry-level physics challenge encouraging problem-solving and conceptual reasoning.

 

• Suitable for keen science students

• Helps develop early physics intuition
