The AMC8 exam can be taken independently from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM New Zealand time (with the proctoring process integrated into the exam system); however, the designated Q&A session for the exam system is from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM New Zealand time.

Eligibility:
Students who are 14.5 years old or younger on the day of the competition, are eligible to participate in the AMC8.
Prize:
Certificate of Distinction: Achieves a perfect score.
Honour Roll of Distinction: Scored in the top 1% worldwide. (In 2022, score>22)
Honor Roll: Scored in the top 1% ~ 5% worldwide. (In 2022, score of>/= 18)
Certificate of Achievement: Student in grade 6 (NZ Year 7) or below who achieves a score of 15 or above.
Fees of exam entry: $60.00 per student
