The Mustang Math Tournament (MMT) is not just another math competition—it's a platform where the brightest young minds from around the globe converge to showcase their mathematical prowess. Here’s why MMT 2024 is an unmissable opportunity for aspiring mathematicians:
Global Reach: Open to Year 5 - Year 9 students worldwide, MMT invites participants to compete on an international stage, challenging themselves against peers from different countries.
Prestigious Origins: MMT was founded by the same visionary directors behind the Stanford Math Tournament (SMT), Berkeley Math Tournament (BMT), and John Hopkins Math Tournament (JHMT). Originally a U.S.-based competition, MMT has now expanded its reach globally, earning a reputation as a premier event for middle school students.
Focus on Teamwork: The tournament will be held on Sunday, 29 September 2024, from 13:00 to 20:15.
The competition format is designed to test more than just individual skills. MMT includes one hour of individual competition and four team-based events.
This structure emphasizes the importance of collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking, allowing students to develop key teamwork skills that are essential in both academic and professional settings.
Selective Entry: Participation in MMT is exclusive to high achievers. Only Silver and Gold winners, as well as Perfect Scorers from the following competitions, are eligible:
American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) 2023
Singapore Mathematical Global Finals (SMGF) 2024
Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2024
Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) 2024
Comprehensive Preparation: To support students in their preparation, every registered participant will receive access to an 8-hour free learning course. This course is tailored to enhance their skills, ensuring they are fully equipped to tackle the challenges MMT presents.
