What is VNJSO?
VANDA National Junior Science Olympiad (VNJSO), held annually worldwide, emphasizes critical and creative thinking skills to uncover hidden information and solve questions effectively.
Contest Format
Eligibility
- Students in Years 4-12
- Students from other Years who have a strong interest in science.
Syllabus
- Singapore School Science Syllabus;
This allows participants to do better compared to pure-Olympiad papers since they are familiar with most of the topics.

- Online at home;
- Exam Date: 25 May 2025
- Exam Time:
NZ time: 19:00-20:30
Sydney time (NZ-2): 17:00-18:30
Perth/ Beijing time (NZ-4): 15:00-16:30
- Total time allowed: 90 mins
- Total Points: 80

Fees for entering the VNJSO 2025 exam is:
$68 per student.
Fees for accessing the VNJSO 2022-2024 past paper is:
$18 per VNJSO 2025 student

The top 40% (Bronze and above) of the participants will receive an award certificate and a medal.

The top 40% (Bronze or above) of winners are invited to compete at STEAM AHEAD 2025 – VANDA International Junior Science Olympiad during 12th-16th December 2025 in Shenzhen, China.

E-certificates are also given to participants who qualify for Honourable Mention or attain Certificate of Participation.
