What is SMGF

SMGF is the Global Final exam of SMC.

SMC is where we share the best practices in mathematics learning and where students gauge how good they are at mathematics.

8:00 PM NZ Time: Competition ends

Deadline of registering: 1 February 2024

Please note: If you registered after the deadline, the fees will be doubled.

Use of calculator

NZ Year 2-5: Calculator is NOT allowed
NZ Year 6-12: Calculator is allowed

Format of the Test

Duration: 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
Total Score: 100 points

Section A: 
15 Multiple choice questions
- 2 points for each correct answer
- 0 point for each unanswered question
Total mark = 30

​

Section B:
10 Non-routine questions
- 4 points for each correct answer
- 0 point for each unanswered question
Total mark = 40

​

Section C:
6 Non-routine questions
- 5 points for each correct answer
- 0 point for each unanswered question
Total mark = 30

Awards

The top 50% of the participants will receive an award certificate and medal.

​

Winners of Silver and above awards in SMGF are invited to compete at SIMOC 2024. 

​

Students who have scored FULL MARKS will be awarded a Perfect Score certificate.

Next 25%: Bronze Award

Next 20%: Honourable Mention Award

Remaining: Participation Certificate

Overall Championship Awards

​SINGAPORE MATH GLOBAL FINALS Overall Championship awards are given to the top 3 winners per grade level from Year 2-11 based on the their individual score*.
They will be announced during the online award ceremony.
