What is SMC
Introducing the Singapore Math Challenge (SMC), a platform showcasing top math practices and challenging students globally.
Last year, over 45,000 students participated. Leading countries use international benchmarks to enhance education, as seen in Singapore’s globally-informed syllabus.
As the New Zealand host, we emphasize the benefits for our students, who can gain valuable skills and international exposure by participating in Singapore's math program.
Level:
Singapore Grade 1-11 (NZ Year 2-12)
The top 40% of participants will be invited to compete at the SINGAPORE MATH GLOBAL FINALS (SMGF) to be held worldwide.

Date: 25th September, 2025.
Time:
19:00-20:30 (NZ time)
15:00-16:30 (Singapore, China, Perth Australia, NZ-4)
17:00-18:30 (Melbourne & Sydney Australia, NZ-2)
SMC (2025) registration deadline: 19 September, 2025
SMGF (2026) date: TBC

Awards

Online E-certificates and performance reports are provided for all participants, with each receiving an award E-certificate.
All Award winners are also invited to compete in the Singapore Math Global Finals (SMGF) 2026.
