The Coding Challenge is designed to be accessible to all students, even if they have basic coding skills.
Tasks require Turtle Blockly solutions or a text-based programming language, depending on the division.

*This challenge replaces the Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC).
There is only one round for this challenge.
Five Divisions
Divisions are based on skill not age. There are five divisions:

Novice

Explorer

Navigator

Pathfinder
-
Trialblazer
Novice and Explorer tasks require Turtle Blockly solutions.
The other divisions use text-based programming languages including Python, C#, Java and VB. A full list of supported languages can be found here.

Scoring System:
Round 1
Section A 5 tasks of 4 marks
Section B 5 tasks of 6 marks
Section C 2 tasks of 8 marks
Total 66 marks
Award Criteria:
Distinction: scoring 40 or above.
Merit: scoring 25 or above.
Fees for entering the Coding Challenge are $60 per student.
