What is OUCC challenge?

Welcome to the Oxford University Computing Challenge 2023 in PGA!

The OUCC builds on the principles used in the CAT competition and helps students develop their skills and provide programmatic solutions to computational thinking problems. They will use the Blockly programming language to solve problems. Students have one hour to complete all tasks.

The OUCC is a two-round online competition. In 2023, the first round of OUCC will be held at end of May, and the second round will be held on ? June

The scoring system:

A distinction is awarded for scoring 40 or above. Merit is awarded for scoring 25 or above.

The challenge is available for four divisions this year:
(The school years are divided based on the Australian school year, please check the Equivalent Year Form below to check your kid's level.)

NZ School Year

  • Upper Primary (years 6–7)

  • Junior (years 8–9)

  • Intermediate (years 10–11)

  • Senior (years 12–13)
