Welcome to the Oxford University Computing Challenge (AU and NZ) in PGA!
OUCC is a 60-minute online programming competition to develop computational thinking skills for Years 6 to 13. The second round is invitational.
The OUCC builds on the principles used in the CAT competition and helps students develop their skills and provide programmatic solutions to computational thinking problems. They will use the Blockly programming language to solve problems. Students have one hour to complete all tasks.

second round: no second round for 2025
Four divisions (in NZ school year):
Upper Primary (years 6–7)
Junior (years 8–9)
Intermediate (years 10–11)
Senior (years 12–13)
Scoring System:
Round 1
Section A 5 tasks of 4 marks
Section B 5 tasks of 6 marks
Section C 2 tasks of 8 marks
Total 66 marks
Award Criteria:
Distinction: scoring 40 or above.
Merit: scoring 25 or above.
Fees for the OUCC (first round) are $60 per student.
