Holiday Program Series——Creative Writing

By engaging in more creative writing, children will develop stronger self-awareness and observation skills. In addition, creative writing enables children to put themselves in different people’s shoes, which cultivates empathy.

Creative writing fosters imagination and inspires children to have fun with writing.

Pinnacle Academy offers creative writing course with the features including:

1, Writing prompts with interesting topics will be used to jumpstart creativity,to help students develop their  “writer’s blocks”.

2. Students are taught how to create engaging characters in their stories and adopting a different point-of-view of an imaginary character.

3. Some games and activities are utilized for enhancing children’s observation and description to form creative phrases, to build effective description, to use “feeling” words in writing. The use of figurative language including metaphors make students effectively describe how they, or their characters, feel.
