What is AMC competition
Welcome to the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) in PGA!
The AMC is an engaging 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives; it is open to students in NZ Years 4 to 13.
Australia’s leading educators and academics, with a deep understanding of our national curriculum standards, actively design unique AMC problems each year.
Divisions (equivalent to NZ Year):
Middle Primary (NZ years 4-5)
Upper Primary (NZ years 6-7)
Junior (NZ years 8-9)
Intermediate (NZ years 10-11)

Students can sit at the level above their school year, but cannot attend the division below their school year.
The primary paper is 60-minutes long, other levels are 75-minutes long.
