KANGOUROU SANS FRONTIÈRES (KSF)
What is KSF
KANGOUROU SANS FRONTIÈRES (KSF), now known as Kangaroo without borders. It has grown to become one of the largest international mathematics competitions in the world, with more than 6 million participants annually.
Division (NZ Year)
Middle Primary: Year 4-5
Upper Primary: Year 6-7
Junior: Year 8-9
Intermediate: Year 10-11
Senior: Year 12-13
Students can sit at the level above their school year, but cannot attend the division below.
All papers have 30 questions except the Middle primary, which has 24. The primary paper is 60 minutes, and the high school papers are 75 minutes.
The paper format: 1-10 (1-8 in Middle Primary) are 3 points, 11-20 (9-16 in Middle Primary) are 4 points, and 21-30 (17-24 in Middle Primary) are 5 points.
It's a great lead-up event for the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC).
NOT allowed use calculator.
